Decisions concerning the most appropriate 3000-4000 level courses for each student should be made in consultation with mathematics advisers, particularly for those students who are seeking teacher certification in mathematics and students who are planning graduate study. Mathematics 4510 is strongly recommended.

- The student must take either MATH 3100 and a Math elective or MATH 4100 and 4110.
- Some courses in the minor may satisfy General Education and hence require additional electives to reach 120 hours.
- The student needs 39 hours at the 3000 - 4000 level. Thirty-six hours are indicated above. The others may be taken in General Education or in the Minor.
- All Math Electives must be taken at the 3000 - 4000 level. One Math Elective must be chosen from: 4100, 4310, 4450, 4460, 4550, 4570, 4600, 4700, 4720 and another Math Elective from 4050, 4110, 4200, 4250, 4270, 4320, 4510, 4610.
