The University Honors (UHON) Program seeks to recruit unusually gifted, academically-minded students to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga by providing an atmosphere, both academic and social, that encourages them to develop their capacities for intellectual, moral, and social leadership. The UHON Program seeks to foster a unique community of scholars who can benefit from each other’s work and who can provide the University with new ideas and ways to excellence. Such a community will prepare these students for life beyond UTC, offering them the advice, training, and encouragement necessary to help them succeed professionally, intellectually, and emotionally.

Enrollment in courses taught in the curriculum of the University Honors Program is restricted to members of the University Honors Program.
