ESC 4730 - Plant Ecology (4) Credit Hours
A study of relationships of plants with their living and non-living environment, explored from the levels of plant individuals, populations and communities. Laboratory component includes hands-on experimentation and field activities developed to assess plant responses to abiotic and biotic environmental conditions. lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 1120 and 1130 with minimum grades of C, at least one 3000-4000 level course from BIOL or ESC with a minimum grade of C, junior standing, or approval of department head. Corequisite ESC 4730L or department head approval. May be registered as BIOL 4730. Credit not allowed in both ESC 4730 and BIOL 4730. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
