BIOL 4730 - Plant Ecology (4) Credit Hours
A study of relationships of plants with their living and non-living environment, explored from the levels of plant individuals, populations and communities. Laboratory component includes hands-on experimentation and field activities developed to assess plant responses to abiotic and biotic environmental conditions. lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 1120 and 1130 with minimum grades of C, at least one 3000-4000 level course from BIOL or ESC with a minimum grade of C, junior standing; or department head approval. Corequisite BIOL 4730L or department head approval. May be registered as ESC 4730. Credit not allowed in both BIOL 4730 and ESC 4730. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
