UTSM 2010 - Knowing and Learning

(3) Credit Hours

Psychological foundations of learning; problem solving in mathematics and science education utilizing technology; principles of expertise and novice understanding of subject matter; implications of high stakes testing; and foundations of formative and summative assessment. Every semester. No credit toward Education degree. Prerequisites: Admission to the UTeaChattanooga program; university, UTSM and major department grade point averages of at least 2.5; UTSM 1020 or UTSM 1030 with a minimum grade of C or UTeaChattanooga Co-Director approval.
