UTSM 1010 - Step One: Inquiry Approaches to Teaching Science and Mathematics

(1) Credit Hours

Introduction to mathematics and science teaching as a career. Discussions include standards-based lesson design and various teaching and behavior management strategies. Fieldwork consists of planning and teaching three inquiry-based lessons to students in grades three to five in local elementary schools. Every semester. Field component. No credit in UTSM 1010 or 1020 after satisfactory completion of UTSM 1030.
