ESC 4010 - Microbial Ecology (4) Credit Hours
A study of microorganisms in their natural environment with regard to microbial evolution, growth, interactions, dispersal mechanisms, ecological significance, and biotechnology applications. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisite: BIOL 3110 and CHEM 3010, or department head approval. Corequisite: ESC 4010L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
