BIOL 3520 - Taxonomy of Vascular Plants

(4) Credit Hours

Speciation; breeding systems; pollination systems; edible and poisonous plants; and origin of flowering plants. Laboratories emphasize identification of flowering plants, conifers, and ferns. Some field work required. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 4 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 1120 and BIOL 1130 with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. Corequisite: BIOL 3520L or department head approval. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
