ASTR 1010 - Introduction to Astronomy - The Solar System (3) Credit Hours
Descriptive and conceptual introduction to the nature and origin of the solar system. Topics include models of the night sky, natural laws describing celestial objects and light, telescopes, the Earth-Moon system, planets and satellites, and the Sun. Spring semester. Prerequisite: Math ACT subscore of 22 or higher or MATH 1006 or USTU 1050 or department head approval. Recommended laboratory: ASTR 1010L.
