NURS 7600 - Anatomy & Principles of Peripheral and Neuraxial Anesthesia (4) Credit Hours
This course is designed to expand applied clinical knowledge of the functional anatomy of the upper and lower extremity nerve plexuses, peripheral nerves, and the subarachnoid and epidural spaces pertinent to peripheral and neuraxial regional anesthesia. Evidence-based principles of regional anesthesia are explored. Guided hands-on experiences and skills validation in a cadaver lab and simulation lab are included in the course. Lecture 2 hours; Simulation and cadaver labs 2 hours. Prerequisites: NURS 7620 , NURS 7630 , NURS 7660 , and NURS 7120 with minimum grades of B or department head approval. Admission to the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Concentration. Differential course fee will be assessed.
