NURS 7840 - DNP Anesthesia Professional Issues Seminar IV


(1) Credit Hours

This course is the fourth in a series of four seminar courses designed to transition the student into the nurse anesthetist’s role as an advanced practice registered nurse. Selected topics relevant to the profession and practice of nurse anesthesia will be examined. Topics presented will include advocacy in the community across diverse populations, developing a professional CV, contract negotiation, financial and employment considerations in practice, understanding malpractice litigation, and other emerging issues in nurse anesthesia practice. Prerequisites: NURS 7830  with a minimum grade of B or department head approval. Admission to the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Concentration. Differential course fee will be assessed.
