NURS 7830 - DNP Anesthesia Professional Issues Seminar III (1) Credit Hours
This course is the third in a series of four seminar courses designed to transition the student into the nurse anesthetist’s role as an advanced practice registered nurse. Selected topics relevant to the profession and practice of nurse anesthesia will be examined. Topics presented will include nurse anesthesia education pathways and standards, professional certification and recertification requirements, patient-centered care, medical-legal aspects of anesthesia practice, and professional advocacy of nurse anesthesia practice. Prerequisites: NURS 7820 with a minimum grade of B or department head approval. Admission to the DNP Nurse Anesthesia Concentration. Differential course fee will be assessed.
