MATH 1830 - Calculus for Management, Life, and Social Sciences (QR)


(3) Credit Hours

Introduction to the concept of functions and the basic ideas of the calculus; includes functions and graphs, limits, continuity, differentiation, optimization, marginal analysis and integration; emphasizes business and social sciences applications. Fall, spring, summer semesters. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisites: MATH 1130  or MATH 1710  or MATH 1720  or MATH 1730  with minimum grade C or a score of 26 or higher on the ACT Math or department head approval. Credit is not allowed in MATH 1830 after completion of MATH 1950  with a minimum grade of C.
