ENME 7400 - Computational Structural Dynamics II (3) Credit Hours
Focus of this course is purely nonlinear structural dynamics. Nonlinear vibration; nonlinear structural analysis; material nonlinearity and geometric nonlinearity; nonlinear finite element method (FEM); numerical solution techniques for nonlinear equations; nonlinear aeroelasticity and hydroelasticity. Some background in and familiarization with Newton’s laws, concepts in energy transfer, basic linear algebra, and vibratory response of systems are expected.Prerequisites: department head approval. Differential Course Fee will be assessed Standard letter grade.
