BUS 5690 - Health Services Accounting and Finance

This course is designed to build upon basic finance theories, concepts, and tools by applying them to the health services sector. This course provides an introduction to the accounting systems used by health services providers to report their economic performance and financial position to external users. It also provides an introduction to the systems designed to collect and analyze information for internal decision making and control purposes. Students will gain an understanding of basic financial theories related to capital acquisition analysis and capital and debt formation. Prerequisites: ACC 5720 or department head approval. Differential Course Fee will be assessed. Business Graduate Course Fee will be assessed.
