Degree and Accreditation:

Computer Science program graduates obtain a B.S. degree. The Computer Science program is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Computer Science and Similarly Named Computing Programs.

MATH 1950 - Calculus with Analytic Geometry I (QR) or
MATH 1830 - Calculus for Management, Life, and Social Sciences (QR)
MATH 2030 - Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science or
MATH 3000 - Introduction to Logic and Proof
MATH 2200 - Elementary Linear Algebra
ENCE 2220 - Probability and Statistics for Engineering (QR) or
MATH 2100 - Introductory Statistics (QR) or
DATA 2130 - Statistics for Business (QR)
DATA 2140 , or a math elective above MATH 1950 or MATH 1830 , or a statistics elective above MATH 2100
One 2-semester laboratory science sequence chosen from the list of approved natural science courses
Two additional natural sciences courses including one 1-semester laboratory science course (7 hours)

Computer Science core courses:

Choice of Minor or Program of Study

Minor of choice and 9 hours Computer Science or technical elective as approved by the advisor at or above 3000 level

Minor if Business Administration: Computer Science required courses

Program of Study

21 hours of Computer Science or other technical courses as approved by advisor at or above 3000 level

Additional Information and Notes

All majors must attain a minimum grade of C in all computer science core courses as a condition for graduation.

2.0 GPA in all required major and related courses.

Minimum of 39 hours of 3000 and 4000 level courses.

Electives to complete 120 hours.
