Prerequisite courses


  • PSY 1010 plus an additional Psychology course, 2000 level or above 6 hours
  • BIOL 1110 - Principles of Biology I 4 hours
  • BIOL 1120 - Principles of Biology II 4 hours
  • BIOL 2060 - Functional Human Anatomy 4 hours
  • BIOL 2080 - Human Physiology 4 hours
  • CHEM 1110/1110L - General Chemistry I 4 hours
  • CHEM 1120/1120L - General Chemistry II 4 hours
  • PHYS 1030/1030L - General Physics I 4 hours
  • PHYS 1040/1040L - General Physics II 4 hours
  • A statistics course 3 hours
  • HHP 3170 - Exercise Physiology 3 hours

Additional Information and Notes


Program of study must also include 6 credit hours of approved electives; may include approved courses outside the DPT curriculum.

Program of study requires a minimum of 5 credit hours in PHYT 7230R - Physical Therapy Research 

Minimum grade of C required in all physical therapy courses to continue in the DPT program.

Minimum 3.0 GPA in physical therapy courses.
