Theatre: Theatre Education, B.A.

Foreign Language


  • Complete two years in one foreign language or equivalent through placement.

Minor Requirement


Students choosing the concentration in Theatre Education declare an Education Minor  . Those individuals will be required to meet the requirement of the initial degree as well as requirements for admission to the Teacher Education Program  and state licensure requirements.

Program Requirements


Theatre Education Concentration


The Theatre Education Concentration combines core theatre classes and advanced theatre classes with a prescribed minor in Education to create a program that prepares students for teaching certifications. It provides the opportunity for students to graduate from the concentration prepared to teach in K-12 schools.

 

Complete the following 15 credit hours:

Theatre Education Licensure


In addition to the Theatre Education concentration above, EDUC 4420  and EDUC 4445  are requirements for licensure.

Additional Information and Notes


2.0 GPA in all required major and related courses.

Minimum of 39 hours of 3000 and 4000 level courses.

Electives to complete 120 hours.
