UTC’s Gary W. Rollins College of Business provides the right education to properly prepare you for success as a professional or entrepreneur.

Whether the focus is on managerial, professional, or entrepreneurial opportunities, all graduates receive a thorough foundation in critical aspects of business with a more in-depth understanding of your area of concentration.

We offer undergraduate degree programs in accounting, data analytics, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, human resources, management, and marketing. At the graduate level, the Master of Business Administration , Master of Accountancyand Master of Science in Data Analytics and Master of Science in Management programs meet the needs of students in search of professional advancement. 


Mission

The mission of the Gary W. Rollins College of Business is to provide innovative educational programs that develop academically prepared and business-world ready professionals for a competitive business environment.

As part of this mission, we:

  • Provide innovative business education and related experiences that promote experiential learning, professional development, and career planning to a diverse student body.
  • Engage in research emphasizing basic and applied scholarship that contributes to the theory and practice of business.
  • Collaborate with local and regional stakeholders to build and maintain value-added partnerships that address business and societal needs.

To fulfill this mission, we:

  • Provide AACSB-accredited educational programs that prepare full-time and part-time students, primarily from Tennessee and surrounding states, for professional and entrepreneurial opportunities.  
  • Offer undergraduate and applied master’s-level degree programs in a variety of business disciplines, as well as executive and professional education.

The curricula also provide essential skills for employment opportunities in related career fields. Career preparation is offered in the following areas:

Accounting
Business Analytics
Economics
Entrepreneurship
Finance
Management
Human Resource Management
Marketing

The College also offers minors in business administration, entrepreneurship, marketing, professional sales, personal finance, real estate finance, management, healthcare management and economics. A student who is not seeking a major in business administration may only earn a maximum of 30 hours in the College of Business.

The College is organized into five departments: Accounting, Data Analytics, Finance and Economics, Management, and Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

It offers six degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in accounting, economics, economics: financial economics, economics: international public policy, finance: business finance, finance: investments, management, management: healthcare management, business analytics, human resource management, marketing, marketing: professional sales, and entrepreneurship; Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics; Master of Business Administration;  Master of Accountancy; Master of Science in Data Analytics; and Master of Science in Management.

 

These degree programs are accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

*excludes Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics.
