Examination and critique of how technologies and scientific knowledge shape individual outcomes, group behaviors and values, and institutions. A synthesis of fundamental sociological concepts and theories with contemporary empirical studies of technology, covering topics such as the advent of the internet, social media and Artificial Intelligence.
