(3) Credit Hours

An historical study of the origins and impacts of American musical traditions, including music of diverse cultures, regions, and communities; focuses on the contributions of native peoples, African Americans, and immigrants. The impact of recording and video technologies is also explored.  Fall and Spring semesters.
