This course will focus on the people, movements, and ideas that have made today’s world since c. 1400. Topics covered vary by professor and may include exploration, colonialism, empire, revolution, war, the emergence and spread of the nation state, the rise of modern science, globalization, migration, and mass culture. This is the place to get the history and different perspectives you wished you learned in high school.
