Study of principal works and/or genres from the Middle Ages through the 18th century. Traditional survey or thematic approach to fiction, essay, poetry, and/or drama, with attention to the cultural, political, and social context of French literature. On demand. Prerequisites: FREN 2120 with a minimum grade of C or placement, or Department Head approval.
