ECON 3010 - Money and Banking


(3) Credit Hours

How are interest rates determined? What determines the supply of money and the exchange rate? How do changes in monetary and fiscal policies affect economic activity? This course attempts to answer these questions as well as provide a comprehensive analysis of the development, structure, and functions of American central banking and commercial banking. Fall semester. Prerequisites: ECON 1010  with minimum grades of C or Department Head approval. Junior standing. Differential course fee will be assessed.
