PHYS 5910 - Emerging Topics in Quantum Information Science (3) Credit Hours
This course explores emerging topics in quantum information science, focusing on quantum machine learning, hybrid algorithms, quantum sensing, and the advancements in NISQ (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) devices. It also examines the ethical and societal implications of quantum technologies. By the end of the course, students will have a broad understanding of cutting-edge developments and their potential applications and challenges. Fall semesters. Prerequisites: MATH 5650 , PHYS 5110 , PHYS 5810 , CPSC 5730 , or Department Head approval.
