PHYS 5840 - Quantum Simulation and Applications (3) Credit Hours
This course provides a comprehensive study of quantum simulation and its applications in various domains. Topics include digital and analog quantum simulation methods, applications in condensed matter physics, materials science, and chemistry, as well as advanced techniques in many-body physics and tensor networks. By the end of the course, students will understand the principles and practical utility of quantum simulation in solving complex problems across scientific disciplines. Fall semesters. Prerequisites: MATH 5650 , PHYS 5110 , PHYS 5810 , CPSC 5730 , or Department Head approval.
