GEOL 1105L - Earth and Environment Lab (LB) (1) Credit Hours
The course serves as an introduction to how our planet works, focusing on the formation and evolution of the solid earth, the dynamic nature of earth systems, and the geologic issues relevant to society. Specifically, students will perform hands-on laboratory exercises and case studies to investigate the scientific principles behind natural phenomena, resource cycles, how we utilize these systems, and our impact on the Earth System. Every semester. 2 hours. Pre or Corequisites: Any one of the following general education courses offered in Geology: GEOL 2250 , GEOL 2200 , or GEOL 1040 or Department Head approval.
