GEOL 1040 - Earth’s Resources and the Environment (LC or NL)


(3) Credit Hours

This course explores how the Earth’s resources are formed and distributed, extracted, and used, and how their extraction and use impact the environment and society. Students will engage with geologic topics related to mining, metal and mineral abundance, water abundance and quality, climate change, as well as the challenges related to resources and the environment as population, and therefore demand continues to grow. Lecture 3 hours.
