DATA 3260 - Introduction to Data Analytics and Visualization


(3) Credit Hours

This course presents a technology-driven approach for analyzing data and extracting insights that support managers making effective business decisions.  The topics covered include data assembly and preparation, exploratory data analysis, descriptive analytics, data visualization and data mining.  These techniques will be examined in the context of various business applications such as healthcare, marketing, finance, and retailing. Fall and Spring semesters. Prerequisites: DATA 2140  with a minimum grade of C or Department Head approval. Junior standing. Differential course fee will be assessed.
