EDUC 5982 - Internship II (3) Credit Hours
A supported and intensive internship for candidates seeking teaching licensure while serving in an educational and professionally related capacity with a school district or related organization. Internship II is designed to provide aspiring educators with a advanced hands-on experience in the field of teaching planning, instruction, classroom environment, and assessment. Throughout the internship II, candidates will work closely with experienced mentor teachers, apply teaching skills, and develop a deeper understanding of the teaching profession. This advanced and immersive internship offers candidates the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to real classroom settings, plan, differentiate, and facilitate instructional practices and analyze formative and summative student assessment data to inform instructional practice. Candidates for Internship II must be recommended by a school district, or related organization, and approved by the School of Education. Fall and Spring semesters. Prerequisites: Completion of EDUC 5981 ; School of Education approval; school district/organization approval. Satisfactory/No Credit.
