SPAN 4620 - Translation Studies

This course is an introduction to the theory, methods, techniques, and practice of English to Spanish translation and Spanish to English translation. Students will learn the fundamentals of translating general material from different fields. Students will be able to contrast writing styles and grammar structures in Spanish and English. On demand. Prerequisites: SPAN 3110 or SPAN 3120 or SPAN 3210 or SPAN 3220 or SPAN 4030 or SPAN 4060 and an additional 3000 - or 4000 level Spanish class with a C or better or department head approval.
