This course examines the role of the forensic practitioner in the legal system by introducing students to various subdisciplines of forensic science, including anthropology; ballistics; blood spatter; digital evidence; entomology; fire and explosives; hair and fiber; pathology; and toxicology. Additional topics to be covered include crime scene investigation, death investigation, expert witness testimony, and contemporary and ethical issues in forensic science.
