GEOL 2200 - Global Climate Change: Past, Present, and Future (LC or NL)


(3) Credit Hours

This course will provide an overview of the climate system and students will analyze the implications of changing parameters within that system. The course is designed to explore the causes and effects of ancient changes in climate and highlight the extreme climates Earth has experienced over geologic time, as well as the repercussions to the Earth’s system. Students will use these extremes to aid in their understanding of modern climate change and to make predictions about the future climate.  Fall and Spring semesters. Lecture 3 hours.
