ART 3651 - Politics and Ethics of Design


(3) Credit Hours

Focus on the sociopolitical contexts in which design is produced, circulated, and consumed. Through reading, writing, and studio projects, students will connect contemporary design discourse and relevant cultural theories to critically examine the role of power in design education, practice, and culture. Spring semester. Studio hours 6. Prerequisites: ART 2900r , ART 2601  or department head approval.Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
