ETME 2110 - Digital Electronics and Microcontrollers


(3) Credit Hours

Study of  the operation, application, and troubleshooting of TTL and CMOS electronic logic devices, their use in combinatorial and sequential logic circuits, and the interface between the logic families. It covers the study of Boolean algebra, binary and hexadecimal number systems, binary codes, and the analysis of the basic components and circuits used in semiconductor switching. Additionally, the internal structure and operation of microcontrollers will be studied. The design methodology for software and hardware applications will be developed through the labs and design projectsLecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours.Prerequisites: ETME 1100  or department head approval.  Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed. Differential course fee will be assessed.
