ENGL 4440 - Black Women Writers

Study of black women’s writing from the eighteenth century to the present day. Emphasis will be placed on historical, black feminist, and/or Africana womanist approaches to women’s literature of the African diaspora. Junior or senior standing or department head approval. May be registered as WGSS 4440. Credit not allowed in both ENGL 4440 and WGSS 4440.
