ETME 4120 - Applications of Thermal & Fluid Systems


(3) Credit Hours

Application of fluid power in engineering system design. Flow properties, frictional flow, valving systems, and electrical control of hydraulic/pneumatic systems will be covered. Thermal heat engines and refrigeration cylces and their industrial applications will be discussed. Industrial heat transfer processes including modes of heat transfer: conduction, free and forced convection, and radiation.  Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours.  Prerequisites: ETME 3010  or department head approval.  Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed. Differential course fee will be assessed.
