ESC 4540 - Plant Ecology

A study of relationships of plants with their living and non-living environment, explored from the levels of plant individuals, populations and communities. Laboratory component includes hands-on experimentation and field activities developed to assess plant responses to abiotic and biotic environmental conditions. Lecture 3 hours, laboratory 3 hours. Prerequisites: BIOL 3060 and BIOL 3350 with minimum grades of C, or department head approval. May be registered as BIOL 4540. Credit not allowed in both ESC 4540 and BIOL 4540. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
