SOC 3070 - Gender and Society

Analysis of how ideas about gender are socially constructed and the importance of women-centered theories on this approach; the interplay of gender and various social structures including education, religion, politics, family, health, work and sexuality. Prerequisites: SOC 1250 or SOC 1510 with a minimum grade of C or department head approval. May be registered as WGSS 3070. Credit not allowed in both SOC 3070 and WGSS 3070.
