MATH 2100 - Introductory Statistics (QR) (3) Credit Hours
Introductory course suitable for students in a variety of disciplines. Emphasizes basic concepts, including descriptive statistics, elementary probability, estimation, and hypothesis testing. This course teaches students how to interpret, to develop, and to use statistical and probabilistic models of real-world phenomena. Students will learn how to solve practical problems using statistical vocabulary, notation, and appropriate technology. Fall, spring, summer semesters. Lecture 3 hours.
