ECON 3170 - Labor Economics


(3) Credit Hours

This course introduces students to the study of modern labor economics and issues concerning supply of and demand for labor, the historical development of labor institutions, and contemporary problems of unemployment, wage determination and income distribution. Students will also become familiar with several theories of labor, and what implications they have for workers, firms, and society. On demand.  Prerequisites: ECON 1010  OR ECON 1020  with minimum grades of C or department head approval. Junior Standing.  Differential course fee will be assessed.
