PHYT 7337 - Mechanisms and Management of Chronic Pain

This course will address advanced pain concepts including physiology, potential causes of chronic pain, and physical therapy management strategies for treating individuals with chronic pain. Special focus will be given to the multi-discipline approach to chronic pain management. Clinical decision making and problem solving will be a key component of the course. Fall semesters. Lecture 3 hours. Prerequisites: Successful completion of the DPT - 1 and 2 Fall and Spring semester coursework. Open to DPT students only. Differential course fee will be assessed.
