NURS 7510 - Advanced Acute Care Practicum (Hospitalist Focus)

This clinical course is designed to provide experiential learning in development and application of the roles of the acute care nurse practitioner with a hospitalist focus. Students will apply and evaluate nursing theory and concepts in both the planning and delivery of care in the hospital setting. Emphasis is placed on physical assessment, interpretation of medical data, differential diagnoses, development and implementation of management plans, documentation in the medical record, and billing. 225 clinical clock hoursPrerequisites: NURS 7100, NURS 7120, NURS 7110, NURS 7240 or Director approval.Corequisites: NURS 7500 or Director approval.Only open to Acute Nurse Practitioner D.N.P. students.Differential Course Fee will be assessed.
