This course examines the role of the physical therapist in public health and healthcare in the United States and globally. Included are foundational elements of public health, including history, surveillance systems, health determinants, and health equity. This course explores the physical therapist engagement in public health initiatives to work effectively as public health professionals on inter-professional teams.
