ENCE 7350 - Traffic Flow Theory and Simulation (4) Credit Hours
The purpose of the course is to introduce the graduate students to the theory behind the different traffic models. In particular, the course focuses on the different components of traffic system, interaction between the traffic system components, traffic-stream characteristics, macroscopic and microscopic flow parameters, basics and consideration of traffic simulation. The course will have a lab that will be taught by the instructor and his teaching assistant. The lab will focus on learning and application of VISSIM simulation software. Through the hands-on work in the lab, students will be able to have better understanding of the topics covered in the course. Prerequisites: Department head approval. Differential course fee will be assessed. Standard Letter Grade
