CPSC 5175 - Programming Languages for Business Data Analytics


(3) Credit Hours

This course introduces students to the fundamental computing skills via a variety of programming languages for effective data analysis. Through this course, the student will learn several business/statistical programming languages (Python, R).  Develop programs to read data, write functions, make informative graphics, and apply modern statistical methods to complex data sets.  Prerequisites: CPSC 5000   or department head approval.  Pre or Corequisites: Enrollment in or completion of a Calculus or Business Calculus course.Credit may not apply to M.S. Computer Science degree. Credit may not be earned in both CPSC 5175 and CPSC 5180 .  Differential course fee will be assessed.
