NUTR 5370 - Medical Nutrition Therapy (3) Credit Hours
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) is a three (3) credit hour course designed for graduate students preparing for entry-level practice as a registered dietitian nutritionist. It includes a didactic component about the study of diet as it relates to prevention and treatment of diseases and conditions. Students will develop skills in nutritional assessment and techniques to assess individuals. Assessment and calculations for specific diets for disease processes and conditions will be included. Students will prepare mini case studies to become skillful in exploring a variety of disease states and conditions.Open to Public Health: Nutrition and Dietetics concentration only. Practicum course fee will be assessed. Standard Letter Grade.
