This course will cover various topics that will ready students for transition to practice as a full-time athletic trainer. Topics discussed will include new employee orientation, navigation of human resources, establishing standing orders with a supervising physician, professional development and goal setting, decision-making, identifying mentors, updating policies and procedures in the workplace, resources for professional and legal compliance, demonstrating worth, and negotiating job improvements.
