PSPS 5321 - Volunteer Management

This course examines historical and emerging issues facing volunteer management programs in nonprofit organizations. The course will focus on elements of successful volunteer management programs, including attention to recruitment and retention strategies, volunteer motivation, risk management and liability issues, application/screening procedures, and ethical issues facing nonprofits and volunteers. Prerequisites: Admission to the MPA program or Certificate in Nonprofit Management program or permission of the MPA program coordinator. Standard letter grade.
