PSPS 5313 - Nonprofit Resource Development (3) Credit Hours
This course examines components of successful nonprofit resource development programs, conceptualizing resource development as a process that incorporates communication, marketing, community and donor relationship building, and strategic planning. Attention will be given to understanding basic fundraising concepts, practices, and skill development in areas such as obtaining and managing grants, donor development, special events, planned giving, and legal/ethical components of fundraising practices. Prerequisites: Admission to the MPA program or Certificate in Nonprofit Management program or permission of the MPA program coordinator. Standard letter grade.
